For cats who turn toothbrushing into a wrestling match.
A single-ingredient chew stick your cat picks up on their own. No holding them down, no purrito, no fingers lost.
Cleans while they chew
The frayed wood fibre works along the gum line every time your cat bites down.
One ingredient. That's it.
Pure silvervine wood. No glue, no additives, no artificial flavour, no plastic.
Satisfies the chew instinct
Something they are allowed to destroy, instead of your charging cables.
Risk-free for 30 days
If your cat isn't interested, we refund you. No return shipping needed.
Why we built this
Everyone knows they should brush. Almost nobody manages it.
Dental disease is the most common condition in adult cats. It builds quietly: plaque hardens into tartar, the gum line recedes, and by the time you notice the smell it's usually a vet visit with anaesthesia attached.
The standard advice is to brush daily. Most owners try, get scratched, and quietly give up not because they don't care, but because the cat won't tolerate it.
FurrBites doesn't replace brushing or a vet cleaning. It's the part of an oral-care routine your cat will actually take part in willingly.
Three steps, then get out of the way
How a FurrBites session goes
Hand them one stick
Most cats start rubbing, licking or chewing within a couple of minutes. Let them investigate it on their own terms.
Let them chew it down
They'll hold it with both front paws and work the ends. Supervise the first session, as with any chew.
Swap when it frays
Offer one every two to three days and replace it once the ends are heavily frayed or small enough to swallow.
The frayed end is the whole point
Dental treats get swallowed whole the single most common complaint owners have about them. A stick can't be inhaled. Your cat has to work it, and the fibres splay into something closer to a brush the longer they chew.
That mechanical action is what makes chewing useful for teeth rather than just entertaining.
About silvervine
Old in Japan. New to most cat owners here.
Silvervine (matatabi in Japanese) is a climbing vine from East Asia that cats have been drawn to for centuries. An 1859 woodblock print shows mice using its scent to lure cats away.
It works through different compounds than catnip, which is why it often lands with cats that walk straight past a catnip toy. Response isn't universal in either plant, and we won't pretend otherwise that's what the 30-day guarantee is for.

FAQ
Before you order
Will my cat actually be interested?
Most cats respond to silvervine, and it tends to work on cats that ignore catnip entirely — the two plants act on different compounds. Response isn't universal, which is exactly why the 30-day guarantee exists.
How is this different from catnip?
Catnip is a scent-driven response that fades after a few minutes. Silvervine encourages chewing and rubbing, which is what makes a stick useful for teeth rather than just entertaining.
Is it safe to leave my cat alone with a stick?
Supervise the first few sessions so you can see how your cat handles it, and replace any stick once the ends are heavily frayed or small enough to swallow. Treat it like any other chew toy.
Does this replace brushing or a vet cleaning?
No. Brushing is still the veterinary benchmark for home plaque removal, and only a vet can safely remove hardened tartar. FurrBites is a daily habit alongside those, not a substitute.
Is it suitable for kittens or senior cats?
Silvervine response usually develops after around six months of age. For senior cats, or any cat with existing dental pain or a medical condition, check with your vet first.
What if it doesn't work for my cat?
Email us within 30 days and we'll refund the full amount. You don't need to send anything back.
